Component A — Bowl
The Maurten Bicarb System bowl is designed for accurate and optimal mixing and serving. It is printed with clear instructions, and is sized for single-hand holding with a screw-top lid for traveling and storage.

Component B — Hydrogel
History in the making. The hydrogel component draws on years of extensive research to create a specially formulated hydrogel to encapsulate and protect the sodium bicarbonate, allowing for easy swallowing without chewing. Each serving contains 40g of carbs to help athletes pre-fuel their race or session.

Component C — Bicarbonate
So minuscule, it’s massive. The bicarbonate component contains the groundbreaking mini bicarb tablets — small enough to pass through the stomach in combination with the hydrogel. 

Preparation is key — and getting bicarbonate right requires forward thinking. The optimal timeframe for a Bicarb System dose is 1–2 hours after a meal, such as breakfast, and 1.5–2 hours before starting high-intensity training or competition.
